Installing Colorful Labels

Welcome to Colorful Labels!

Prerequisite

Before you can start using Colorful Labels the following prerequisites must match

1. To install and setup the app, you need to have Jira Administrator permissions.
2. Browser requirements for Colorful Labels match the relevant Jira requirements. See the Jira Supported Browser page.

Installing Colorful Labels

To install Polymetis Colorful Labels, follow these steps:

Installing the App:

1. Click the on the left bar and choose "Apps".
2. Type "Colorful Labels" in the search field and hit enter.
3. "Polymetis Colorful Labels" will appear. Click the button to install it. If installed successfully, both a confirmation message and the app´s details will be displayed.

Creating new Custom Fields and adding them to Jira Screens:

1. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner(next to the profile icon) and, in the menu that appears, select "Issues" under the "Jira Settings" tab.
2. Now select "Custom Fields" in the left navigation bar.
3. Then click on the button in the upper right corner called "Create custom field".
4. Select the type "all" in the left Navigation Bar and enter "Colorful Labels" in the adjacent search field. Select "Polymetis Colorful Labels" in the results window and click next.
5. Now set the name of the custom field and its description. Then click on "create".
6. Next, check all the "Screens" on which you want to display colorful labels.
7. You are now done!

Uninstalling Polymetis Colorful Labels

To uninstall Polymetis Colorful Labels, follow these steps:

1. Click the on the left bar and choose "Apps".
2. Click on "Manage apps".
3. Expand "Polymetis Colorful Labels" in the list of installed apps
4. Click on "Uninstall".
5. Provide us feedback to let us know what was missing or what we've could have done better.
