Notifications

PII Protection for Jira supports multiple kinds of notifications that can be configured to be run in combination.

Notify Reporter​

Sends a notification about possible PII findings in an issue to the reporter, ie the person who created the issue. In a Jira Service Management project, this might be the customer who raised the issue.

Notify Assignee​

Sends a notification about possible PII findings in an issue to the current assignee. If the issue is unassigned, no notification is sent.

Notify Watchers​

Sends a notification about possible PII findings in an issue to everyone who is listed as a watcher of the issue.

Notify Project Lead​

Sends a notification about possible PII findings in an issue to the lead of the project the issue belongs to. If the project does not have a project lead, no notification is sent.
